There are two types of rechargeable battery.
They are:
Ni-Cd (Nickel Cadmium)
Ni-Mh (Nickel Metal Hydride)

Let me give a brief explanation about those two types of battery:
Ni-Cd is kinda old rechargeable batteries
Positive: These kind of batteries is mostly use for toys race car, for example Tamiya brand is famous of its toys race car, in order to win, player needs to give their race car a good battery for the very first start since the race begins, in order to do this, they need Ni-Cd battery that can give them a boost start because they do not need long duration battery.
Negative: Ni-Cd batteries did not have long lasting durabilities. They can give a good start but after a while its energies depleted. For example, if you use Ni-Cd battery for a clock when the energy slowly depleted, the clock will turn slow as well and can not provide accurate time.

Ni-Mh is different from Ni-Cd batteries
It's a newer version type of rechargeable batteries. It has a stable energy depletion.
Positive: The durability is very good, it can survive lasting energy depletion compared to Ni-Cd batteries. If you put this battery into clock, then when the energy finish, then it just finish, without slowing the time first.
Negative: Vice versa from Ni-Cd, Ni-Mh can not give a boost start.

Dear Customers, choosing the right battery for your own daily usage is necessary in order to maximize the use of our product. First, if you are a heavy user type to use battery. I would suggest you to take bigger mAh, the bigger the better. This is to prevent faster depletion of battery energy. Second, if you are just occasional user of battery, I would suggest you to take Eneloop battery, due to it's technology to hold/keep its energy much longer than ordinary rechargeable battery.

Ask yourself this: First, How many slot do I need, do I only need 2?or 4? 2 slot means you can only charge 2batteries at the same time, 4 slot mean you can charge 4batteries at the same time. Just to let you know, all kinds of our Sanyo Charger products able to charge AA or AAA type of batteries. Even tough for the AAA type it has only 2 slot. Secondly, How much time do I need to charge my batteries? Do you need very quick?Just normal? or Overnite charging is OK for me? If you are a very busy person, for example photographer, you may consider in buying our highest charger products, which is 15 Minutes charger, that as the name it is, it can charge only 15minutes for 2700mAh, 4 batteries at the same time.

The purpose of Refresh Charger product is to make lifespan of Batteries longer. Because it can deplete the energy within the battery first and then restore/recharge it back.
